"This is the wine of my life - the wine that I always dreamt of making." says Mario Ercolino (founder of Vinosia).
2x 12 month in new barriques the Sesto a Quinconce is Mario Ercolino's favourite child. The grapes for it come from grape vines that are 75 years old on average and the production of each vine is reduced to 400g. This brings a very deep density into the glass but let's the wine still remain elegant and fine.
We think that this wine is a real experience which only a few of us - since the production is limited to 6.000 bottles - will be able to enjoy.
A real Power-Wine that you should taste if you like strong expressive wines which are not overpowered by tannins.
What does it taste like ...
Color: Black or close to it
The nose of this wine is incredibly full of dark forest berries and dark chocolate.
When tasting it you will experience black currant, prunes, vanilla and chocolate. It has silky soft tannins which are not overpowering, a phenomenal density and a perfekt structure. The Sesto keeps developing over a long finish and just seems to surprise you over and over again with new taste components.
Enjoy this wine with any strong meat dish or as we do just on its own
