Why we offer this to you ...
We got to know this wine in a small enoteca during a lovely dinner in Sarteano. The owner refused to show us the bottle first since he did not want to reveal the vintage of Regale. We were confronted with a very smooth wine that we would have expected to be much more mature. Since it is a small production it was not easy to get this wine but we managed to. Enjoy it with us.
What does it taste like ...
The color of Regale can be described as dark ruby, transparent but yet nicely dense. When opening a bottle a scent of sweet tobacco and vanilla followed by currant and blueberry will welcome you.
The taste is rather complex and holds a lot of different spices in the back after the obvious fruity taste. We are sure you will enjoy the density of the fruits Regale. The very soft tannins provide an extra long finish during which spices like thyme, chocolate and pepper will play with your palate.
The wine can be enjoyed even next to very strong dishes like slow roasted beef dishes or grilled meat.
